Which estimating systems does VaraFix support?
VaraFix currently reviews CCC ONE estimates exported as a PDF,
including Print to PDF. Mitchell support is planned but is not available yet.
What exactly does VaraFix review?
VaraFix reviews the estimate your team already wrote. It looks at the
repairs and operations on that estimate, then points out related items
that may have been left off.
Does VaraFix tell my technicians how to repair the vehicle?
No. VaraFix does not write the repair plan or tell your technicians how
to fix the vehicle. It reviews the estimate and looks for billable
operations tied to the work already written.
Does VaraFix tell me which ADAS calibrations are required?
No. VaraFix does not decide which vehicle systems require calibration.
That is a safety decision that should come from the OEM procedure and a
qualified calibration provider.
Will VaraFix inflate my estimates?
No. VaraFix looks for real operations tied to the repair already written.
It does not invent damage, inflate labor or recommend something it cannot
back up.
Does VaraFix automatically change my estimate?
Never. VaraFix shows your estimator what may have been left off and
provides the explanation, source and line note when needed. Your estimator
decides what gets added. Nothing is written directly to the workfile.
Does VaraFix tell my shop what to charge?
No. VaraFix shows the operation and estimates its value using the labor
rate printed on the estimate. Your shop decides the labor time, material
charge and final amount.
Will VaraFix help train my estimators?
Yes. Estimating gets better through repetition. When an estimator keeps
seeing the same things they left off, they begin catching those items
before the VaraFix review. Over time, they write stronger and more
complete estimates.
What happens when my estimators start writing better estimates?
That means VaraFix is doing its job. But even strong estimators miss
things when the shop gets busy. VaraFix stays in place as the final
check before money gets left behind. One or two estimate reviews can
usually cover the monthly cost.
What happens when I hire a new estimator?
Add the new estimator to your VaraFix team and show them how to run an
estimate review. VaraFix helps train them by showing what they left off,
why it belongs and what backup is available. It helps them get up to
speed faster and write estimates the same way as the rest of your shop.
Does VaraFix replace my estimator?
No. VaraFix backs up your estimator. Your team writes the estimate,
reviews every finding and makes every final decision.
Will using VaraFix affect my DRP or program standing?
VaraFix finds normal billable operations tied to the repair. It does
not change your repair decisions, cycle time or program requirements.
Your shop remains in control of every line added.
Is Ask VaraFix just another general chatbot?
No. Ask VaraFix is built only for collision repair. It can answer repair
questions, explain OEM procedures, interpret DRP contracts and help your
team understand estimating information without digging through multiple
websites and manuals.
How are the money-found amounts calculated?
VaraFix reads the labor rate printed on the estimate being reviewed.
If that rate is not available, it uses the rate saved for that shop
location.
How does VaraFix work for multiple collision centers?
One organization account connects every paid location. Each shop keeps
its own users, estimate history and results, while authorized owners and
managers can see one shop or the entire organization.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep full access through the end of the paid billing period. After
that, completed estimate reviews remain available in read-only mode so
your history is not lost.
